The SEP sesam database online module for SAP R/3, running on MaxDB/SAP DB and Oracle, assures interruption free backup operation directly to the backup media/device, without an intermediate back up to the file system. The online module integrates the database interface, allowing all backup, restore and recovery available to execute without any hindrance. Database backups are planned and controlled by using the SAP R/3 environment tools or by setting it through database priorities in the SEP sesam backup server.
